Love missed Game 3 on Wednesday because of a concussion he suffered three days earlier in Game 2. He remains in the league’s concussion protocol and will need to be cleared by doctors before he can play again. He participated in shooting drills during practice Thursday, the Beacon Journal reported.

The Cavs succeeded without the stretch four, routing the defending champion Warriors 120-90. Richard Jefferson took Love’s place in the starting lineup. The result had pundits wondering if the Cavaliers might be better off without Love, who has struggled to fit in during his two years in Cleveland.

Jefferson scoffed at that idea after Wednesday’s game.
