The Clippers coach has been fined $25,000 for publicly criticizing officials, according to the team. Following a 111-107 loss to the Spurs in Tuesday’s Game 5, Rivers complained that his team was hit with several “brutal calls.”

“I don’t know, it’s just — listen, the refs are trying hard, too, but God darn,” Rivers said during his postgame news conference. “Even (Chris Paul)’s tech, I still don’t have the explanation for that, and I want to find that out because when they make a shot, you have to throw it to the ref to get the ball back, and he got a tech for it. I’m just not sure of some things.”
Rivers was hit with an identical fine for criticizing officials in last year’s playoffs.
Down 3-2, Los Angeles faces elimination Thursday when it travels to San Antonio for Game 6.
