Nevertheless, many NBA teams are facing a tough schedule between now and April, and due to this, the prospect of injuries has increased. So, as NBA teams look to make a final push to make the 2019 playoffs, here are the latest injury updates regarding the NBA’s top stars.

Aron Baynes - Left Foot Contusion - 2-3 Weeks

Just weeks after returning from a left-hand injury that kept him out for nearly two months, Aron Baynes sustained an injury to his left foot. The injury has kept Baynes out for much of February, and the center was expected to return shortly after the All-Star event. Nevertheless, Baynes continues to be sidelined with the injury, and the latest update suggests that the Australian is still weeks away from a return.

Andre Roberson - Left Knee - At least 4 weeks

Roberson has now been out of action for more than a year with a left knee injury, although the 27-year-old still appears to be a long way off from returning. The shooting guard has continually suffered setbacks during his 13 months of rehabilitation, and Roberson has yet to return to participating in any kind of drills.

The Thunder have yet to provide an update on Roberson’s return date, however, considering the severity of the injury, it is safe to assume that upon returning to training, Roberson will need at least a month of practice to reach game sharpness.

Anthony Davis - Left Shoulder - Available

During the final game ahead of the 2019 All-Star break, Anthony Davis suffered an injury to his left shoulder during the New Orleans Pelicans’ win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The injury restricted Davis to just five minutes of action during the showcase game in North Carolina, although the 25-year-old has since returned to the Pelicans team, playing 20 minutes against the Indiana Pacers.

Davis was absent from New Orleans’ most recent victory over the Lakers, although CBS Sports is reporting that Davis wasn’t listed on the Pelicans injury report for Monday’s game against Philadelphia, and is set to return to the starting lineup.

Luka Doncic - Ankle Injury - Day to Day

Luka Doncic has missed back to back games for the Mavericks due to an ankle injury, although Dallas management is optimistic that their Rookie sensation will return later this week. Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News is reporting that Doncic will continue to be assessed ahead of each game, and the Slovenian could feature tonight against the LA Clippers.

Lonzo Ball - Bone Bruise (Sprained Left Ankle) - Unknown

Lonzo Ball suffered an ankle sprain during the Lakers’ January 19th game in Houston, and the Lakers have struggled in his absence. Last week, The Los Angeles Times reported that Ball had begun running on an underwater treadmill, and the 21-year-old’s recovery was going as planned.

Nevertheless, Ball is now believed to have suffered a setback on his road to recovery, and the LA Times is reporting that Ball will miss more than the initially estimated six weeks:

Some reports have claimed that Ball could miss another five to six weeks, although, at this point Ball’s injury timeframe remains unconfirmed, and Rajon Rondo will continue to start at point guard.
