So, ahead of Week 4, here we will take a look at all the latest NBA injury updates you need to know from around the league.

#1 Gordon Hayward - Fractured hand - Will be assessed on Monday

Gordon Hayward has made a resurgent start to the new season, although the 29-year-old fractured his hand during Boston’s win over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. ESPN is reporting that Hayward will meet with a hand specialist on Monday to determine if surgery is required, and the Celtics man could miss at least two months if he undergoes a procedure.

#2 Blake Griffin - Knee/Hamstring - Set to return on Monday

The Detroit Pistons have been hit hard by injuries so far this season, and Blake Griffin has yet to play due to hamstring and knee problems.

However, Griffin has stepped up his return over the past week, and James Edwards of The Athletic is reporting that the 30-year-old is set to make his season debut on Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

#3 Rajon Rondo - Calf - Should return this week

Rajon Rondo suffered a calf injury during preseason, and the Los Angeles Lakers point guard has yet to play this season. It was reported that the 33-year-old could feature against the Toronto Raptors last night, but the veteran was once again absent.

Nevertheless, Chris Haynes is reporting that Rondo participated in a workout over the weekend, and the former Celtics man looks set to return later this week.

#4 Kyle Lowry - Thumb - Will be re-evaluated in two weeks

Kyle Lowry injured his left thumb during the first quarter of Toronto Raptors’ win over the New Orleans Pelicans and the Raptors have since announced that the 33-year-old suffered a fracture. Lowry will now miss the next two weeks before being re-assessed ahead of a potential return.

#5 Paul George - Shoulder - Could return this week

Paul George has yet to make his Los Angeles Clippers debut after undergoing double shoulder surgery during the summer. The 29-year-old has spoken of his desire to return to the court as soon as possible, and while George will once again be absent against the Raptors on Monday, he could still make his first appearance for the Clippers later this week

#6 Serge Ibaka - Sprained Ankle - Out indefinitely

Serge Ibaka sprained his right ankle while attempting to contest a layup against the San Antonio Spurs last Friday. The Raptors have since ruled the 30-year-old out indefinitely, and it is believed that they could provide a more specific return date for Ibaka over the next week.

#7 Anthony Davis - Shoulder - Expected to play this week

Anthony Davis continued to struggle with a shoulder injury during the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night. Davis picked the injury up while attempting a dunk earlier this season, and some have suggested that the 26-year-old could miss time as he rehabs his shoulder. Nevertheless, Davis has told ESPN that while his shoulder is painful, he has no plans to take time off.

#8 Steven Adams - Knee - Day-to-day

After returning from a knee injury last week, Steven Adams once again sat out Oklahoma City Thunder’s most recent defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks. Nevertheless, head coach Billy Donovan told reporters that he doesn’t think Adams’ knee contusion is serious, and the 26-year-old should be in contention to play this week.

#9 Khris Middleton - Thigh contusion - Expected to return this week

During Milwaukee’s matchup with the Thunder last night, Khris Middleton left the game in the third quarter after taking a knee to his thigh. The Bucks quickly confirmed that Middleton had suffered a left thigh contusion, although the injury is unlikely to keep him out for than one game.
