#1 Gordon Hayward - Fractured Hand - Out for five weeks

Following his excellent start to the season, Gordon Hayward suffered a hand injury during Boston’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. The 29-year-old underwent successful surgery on the fourth metacarpal fracture in his left hand last Monday and will miss the next five weeks as he recovers.

#2 Caris LeVert - Thumb - Out for 4-6 weeks

The Brooklyn Nets are already short on bodies, and the team suffered a further setback last week as Caris LeVert underwent thumb surgery. The Nets have refused to set a timeline for LeVert’s return, although ESPN is reporting that the 25-year-old faces 4-6 weeks on the sidelines.

#3 Khris Middleton - Thigh - Out until December

Khris Middleton left the court with a thigh injury during Milwaukee’s win over Oklahoma City last Sunday. It was initially thought that Middleton hadn’t suffered anything more than an impact injury, although the Bucks have since announced that the 28-year-old suffered a thigh contusion and is unlikely to play again this month.

#4 Avery Bradley - Right Leg - Could return next week

Avery Bradley sustained an injury to his right leg against the San Antonio Spurs last week, and an MRI scan confirmed that the 28-year-old has a hairline fracture. Nevertheless, the injury isn’t as bad as first feared, and the Lakers say that the guard will be re-evaluated next week ahead of a potential return.

#5 Andre Roberson - Knee - No return date set

It was reported that Andre Roberson was progressing well ahead of the new season following his lengthy injury layoff, although, the 27-year-old remains inactive heading into Week 5 of the season. The Thunder have yet to provide an exact update on Roberson’s recovery, although head coach Billy Donovan has indicated that the shooting guard’s return is still some way off.

#6 Kevon Looney - Nerve Problem - Will be re-evaluated on Wednesday

Kevon Looney has not played since opening night of the season after suffering a hamstring injury. Looney’s hamstring has since healed, although his return has been delayed by a neuropathic condition. Nevertheless, Nick Friedell of ESPN is reporting that Looney will be re-evaluated on Wednesday, and the 23-year-old could return later this week.

#7 D’Angelo Russell - Right Thumb - Out for 2 weeks

D’Angelo Russell has been Golden State’s best performer so far this season, although the point guard sprained his right thumb against Boston on Friday. It wasn’t initially clear how long the All-Star would miss, although the Warriors have since confirmed that the 23-year-old will miss at least two weeks before being re-evaluated.

#8 Victor Oladipo - Knee - Closing in on a return

Victor Oladipo has been out of action since suffering a ruptured quadriceps muscle back in January and the Pacers have struggled without their star man. Nevertheless, the 27-year-old was assigned to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants over the weekend, and the guard has finally returned to full scrimmage as he nears a return.

#9 Mitchell Robinson - Ankle Sprain - Day-to-day

Mitchell Robinson injured his right ankle midway through the fourth quarter of the Knicks win over the Mavericks on Thursday night, and the injury was painful enough to keep him out of training over the weekend. Robinson has already missed four games through injury this season, although the 21-year-old should be healthy to play this week as he is listed as probable for Monday’s night against the Cavs.
