With more than five weeks remaining until the start of the season, teams also still have plenty of time to further strengthen, and there are several free agents and under contract stars that could be suiting up for a new team ahead of the new campaign. Mike Conley looking forward to his new journey with the Jazz

The first 48 hours of free agency were among the most chaotic in NBA history, although a huge deal was completed prior to the madness. Mike Conley was traded to the Utah Jazz after spending 12 years with the Memphis Grizzlies, a move which puts the Jazz among the favorites heading into the new season.

Up until this point, Conley had been relatively quiet about his move to Utah, although, during an interview with HoopsHype, the point guard revealed his eagerness to begin a new chapter in his career:

Conley will turn 32 later this year but remains one of the best point guards in the NBA. During the 18-19 season, Conley averaged 21.1 points, 6.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Steph Curry and the Warriors want to silence their doubters

The Golden State Warriors have reached five consecutive NBA Finals, and most recently made it to the 2019 Finals despite dealing with an injury crisis.

However, the Warriors lost Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins in free agency, while Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston were also let go after more than half a decade with the franchise.

After a summer of change, many believe that the Warriors will struggle to reach the playoffs this season, although Steph Curry is confident that his team will silence their doubters:

The Warriors enter the 19-20 season without Klay Thompson, who is expected to be out of action until at least the All-Star Weekend. However, Steve Kerr will be able to call upon his star trio of Curry, Draymond Green, and the recently acquired D’Angelo Russell.

Richard Jefferson believes that Carmelo Anthony’s career in the NBA is not yet over

While a few notable veteran free agents remain available, Carmelo Anthony’s future continues to attract the most buzz. The former Knicks superstar has not played since being told to find a new team by the Houston Rockets back in November, and despite his lengthy absence, Anthony has stated his intention to take any role to further his career.

While the 35-year-old has yet to attract any firm interest this summer, Richard Jefferson told ESPN’S Get Up that Anthony will eventually get his opportunity to return:

During an illustrious career, Anthony has been named as an All-Star on ten occasions but has never played in an NBA Finals.
