No. 1 Atlanta Hawks at No. 8 Brooklyn Nets (7 p.m. ET, NBA-TV)Game 4 spread, total: Atlanta -4, 195.5Series lead: Atlanta 2-1

The Nets may be trailing in the series, but they’re paying off at the bet window by covering the spread in all three games. Brooklyn’s latest cash was a 91-83 home win on Saturday as 3.5-point underdogs, with both teams shooting below 40 percent.

The UNDER is 3-0 this series with an average total points scored of just 184.  Oddsmakers continue to lower the total.  It was 205 in Game 1, 203 in Game 2 and 199 in Game 3.

Brooklyn (39-46 SU, 42-41-2 ATS) isn’t intimidated by the No. 1 seed Hawks and is now 8-2 SU and 7-2-1 ATS in its last 10 games at the Barclays Center. There is an issue at point guard with Deron Williams struggling and dealing with injuries. Jarrett Jack is a solid veteran backup who could play another huge role on Monday.

The Hawks (62-23 SU, 49-35-1 ATS) are not a confident road team at 8-12 SU and 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 games, after starting the season 17-5 SU and 18-4 ATS. Big man Al Horford scored just seven points last game (3-of-12 shooting) as he continues to deal with a finger injury. He needs to outplay Brook Lopez to get this win.

The Linemakers’ lean: The Nets have more than hung with the Hawks so far this series, lining bettors’ pockets along the way. And with the way they’ve been winning and covering at home, coupled with the Hawks’ struggles on the road, we’ll take the points on Monday night.  Brooklyn +4 is the play.

No. 6 Milwaukee Bucks at No. 3 Chicago Bulls (8 p.m. ET, TNT)Game 5 spread, total: Chicago -8.5, 188 Series lead: Chicago 3-1

Milwaukee staved off elimination at home on Saturday, 92-90 as 4-point dogs. Veteran Jerryd Bayless hit a game-winning layup as time expired. It was its first cover of the series as well.

The Bucks’ (42-44 SU, 46-38-2 ATS) refusal to quit last game means they get to make the 90-mile trip down to the Windy City for Game 5. They did fail to cover as 8-point road dogs in both Game 1 (103-91) and Game 2 (91-82), although they did lead early in the fourth quarter of the latter before the Bulls took over.

Chicago (53-33 SU, 42-44 ATS) needs to take care of business and end this series with Cleveland now resting up for the second round. The bench must play better after getting outscored 47-13 last game. Point guard Derrick Rose has alternated between good and bad games this series, and is due for a bounce back after 5-of-13 shooting for 14 points in Game 4.

The Linemakers’ lean: With the opportunity to close out this series at home, the Bulls will put forth a fully-intense defensive effort.  Plus, six of the eight meetings between these teams this season have stayed UNDER the total, with Game 3 of this series needing a furious late Milwaukee rally to go OVER in regulation.  There’s been a slight downward adjustment to the Game 5 total, but it’s still a reasonable enough number for us to recommend the UNDER.

No. 5 Memphis Grizzlies at No. 4 Portland Trail Blazers (10:30 p.m. ET, TNT)Game 4 spread, total: Portland -3, 193Series lead: Memphis 3-0

The Grizzlies have a commanding 3-0 series lead after a 115-109 road win on Saturday as 3.5-point dogs. They are 7-0 SU and ATS against the Trail Blazers this year.

Last game easily went OVER the 189-point total after the UNDER was 2-0 in the two games in Memphis.

The Grizzlies (58-27 SU, 43-40-2 ATS) are feeling great about themselves, but do have an issue at point guard. Mike Conley took a hit to the face last game and is not expected to play in Game 4. Backup Beno Udrih (ankle) is questionable after sitting out Game 3.

The Trail Blazers (51-34 SU, 40-44-1 ATS) need to somehow muster some fight knowing this series is essentially over. There are also off-the-court distractions with star forward LaMarcus Aldridge soon to be an unrestricted free agent, with strong indications he could leave for greener pastures.

The Linemakers’ lean: With the total spiking to its highest number of this series, we see immediate value on the UNDER.  Sure, Game 3 went OVER, but that broke a four-game UNDER streak for meetings between these teams.  A play on the Grizzlies is tempting – it’s clear they’re the better team and Portland may be mentally checked out – but with Memphis’ health concerns at point guard, we’ll lay off the side.  UNDER 193 is the play.
