According to a report from Yahoo Sports, which cited unidentified league sources, the Bucks and Lopez agreed to a two-year deal Sunday. The second season of the contract is a player option. The 31-year-old big man averaged 9.5 points and 3.9 rebounds for the Bulls last season. Bulls coach Jim Boylen praised Lopez’s leadership earlier in the year. “It’s invaluable to have a guy who honors his role as an example to the team, a guy who speaks up when a situation needs to be addressed,” Boylen said then, via the Chicago Tribune....
Shortly after arriving, trainers called over EMTs and a stretcher took Upshaw off the court and out of the arena. According to the director of public relations for the Drive, Upshaw was transferred to Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, but she did not give any more information on what type of injury or his condition at the time. #1 Zion Williamson - Knee - Expected to play on January 22nd Zion Williamson has yet to play this season after suffering a knee injury back in October. Williamson was initially expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a torn meniscus - although the 19-year-old’s recovery has taken longer than expected. Nevertheless, Williamson has proven his fitness to the Pelicans coaching staff over the past week, and he is expected to make his NBA debut on Wednesday as New Orleans play the Spurs....
